2020 President's Award
S. John Omay, A.Sc.T.
Each year the President’s Award is chosen and presented by the President of TPS to an individual who promotes and furthers the professional identity of the Association to the public. This individual, through professional conduct and actions, takes it upon themselves to educate, promote and defend the organization and its membership. The “2020 President’s Award” was presented to S. John Omay, A.Sc.T. for his tireless efforts towards promoting the applied science and engineering technology profession both provincially and nationally.
A plaque displaying each recipient for this Award is on display in the TPS office.

2020 Merit Award
Dick Belton, A.Sc.T., and Bob Kardash, A.Sc.T.
This Award is presented to individuals have distinguished themselves in the service of the Association on a voluntary, salaried or elective basis. The Association’s “2020 Merit Award” was presented to Richard R. Belton, A.Sc.T., and Robert J. Kardash, A.Sc.T., for the many hours of volunteerism they contributed. Their contribution benefits the profession both provincially and nationally.

2020 Technology Professional of the Year Award
Barry Sudom, A.Sc.T.
This Award is presented to TPS registrants who have distinguished excellence in professional life – whether technical practice or such areas as management, teaching or administration. The Association is pleased to present the “2020 Technology Professional of the Year Award” to Barry W. Sudom, A.Sc.T. for his tireless efforts towards promoting the applied science / engineering technology profession both provincially and nationally.
